Wow, that system has some horsepower..... not to mention being compatible with PS1 and PS2. All I can say is no 360 for me if I can keep all my current stuff.

Looks sweet. The controller looks lame, though.

Do those specifications say it has SEVEN 3.2 GHz processors? Or am I reading it wrong? The XBOX360 has 3.

I like the longer handles on the controller (finally) but hate the way they've placed the shoulder buttons. Hopefully this is still subject to change.

Funny that they've used what looks like the Spider-Man movies' font as their font now.

Still trying to figure out why you'd need 3 ethernet ports on one console...

Nintendo Nexus. Of the 3, I gotta say, this is easily the coolest looking next-gen console.

Looks like Nintendo is going to get out-muscled by the other two again, though.

Haven't seen a controller that dubious since the N64...

I may get one, but I won't be an early adopter for the PS3 like I will be for the Xbox 360 and Nintendo Revolution. I'm not into games by Square so that really only leaves GTA as a major PS franchise for me and I'd be surprised if Rockstar doesn't start going multi-platform with the next generation.

EDIT - So they changed the name to Nexus just in time for E3? Is that for real?

Apparently. They changed the name of the last console just before revealing it too. I guess "Revolution" was just a codename like "Dolphin".

EDIT- they're holding a press conference in 6 hours, but pics were bound to leak.

EDIT AGAIN- been digging around a bit. Its possibly a fake, but if it is, its a damn fine one.

Same here man. I've bought every Nintendo system and I don't see myself stopping anytime soon. EDIT: I didn't see any ethernet ports. Does that mean they're not taking it online? I do like it that they have Gameboy ports for it. That's coo. Now the other question: will it be backwards compatable with GameCube?

I heard that M$ is trying to acquire Rockstar to get GTA exclusively for the 360.

Hmm

Well Rockstar is already doing a new Red Dead for PS3 so my guess would be a new GTA is probably already in Dev stages.

Now I am I the only one thinking, wow it's an incredable time to be a gamer? I admit I am not longer a huge fan of Nintendo *Sorry the N64 and Gamecube have left horrible tastes in my mouth.*

But just to see how much the technology has evolved since well when I used to play my Atari 2600 or goto the arcade to play Turbo and Dig Dug when I was 3. I mean wow.

My only hope is that we can start to see some orginal ideas again. With Microsoft really acting like they want to get into the Video Game market *and hopefully with more than just a Halo and Fable* and watching the tech demos of the PS3. All I can say is man I hope I get the management job I just applied for *700-900 a week depending on how negoations go*.

That would suck so much ass if they kept it to the 360 for 6 months before PC ....

So if the Nexus is the next gen console for Nintendo, then what's this:

http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3140623

I like the idea of being able to download Nintendo's older library titles. And I've never bothered with online play before, so this'll be my first time.

Revolution will feature an online matchmaking service ala Xbox Live with downloadable content in the form of a library of archived games. From old school games like Donkey Kong to modern GameCube releases like Super Mario Sunshine, Nintendo says they'll all be available for download on Revolution, though a price, if there will be one, has yet to be determined.

Whose your daddy? I will be able to have another go at Megman X3, maybe its easier to kill Super ****ing Sigma on a control pad.

Jeez, I know they meant to keep it toned-down when compared to the Gamecube, but that's way too bland.

I think the compactness is kind've charming, in a way. To me a game system doesn't need bells and whistles and all that on the case, it's the actual games that matter. So we'll see how those turn out.

Personally, I prefer the tiny approach as opposed to some mammoth piece of hardware.

Nintendo won't make it through the next hardware cycle. The absolute abandoment of the gamecube by thrid party developers demonstrates that Nintendo doesn't have the backing it needs to make it through the next round of the console wars. Nintendo is gonna end up pulling a sega and becoming a 3rd party themselves, out side of their handheld division, which would probally allign themselves with microsoft, due to Sony's entry into the handheld game with the psp.

Ps3 and xbox 360 look cool....if xbox 360 can do backwards compatibility, I think that microsoft may take the lead in consoles, at least in the most important market of north america.

Im with Maki in that the shoulder buttons arent riding well with me. It looks like youll have to contort your hand to get to them. I will get the PS3 first for sure, then if Nintendo can get some good games Ill get the Rev too. Xbox I wont bother with again, as the PS3 is more than capable of playing PC games, I wont need the Xbox now.
