Is a proctology exam a FUN thing? Who here thinks it IS?

Post by Sheba »

Well I'm curious.

In fact I AM DYING OF CURIOSITY.

I have always wondered if a proctology exam was a FUN thing. Not having certain equipment precludes me from EVER having one, so I was curious.

Of course only the menfolk will know...so enlighten me please. I wish to learn. I wanna know what I'm missing, and compare that to the fact of the Pap Smear (which is NO FUN in MY experience. Of course I have constant BODYWIDE pain 24/7 so I may be a special case) Image

You really are getting quite obsessive, my dear.

edit: However, it is extremely unlikely that I am ever going to kill someone for asking questions... only, perhaps, repeating it once too often when I am bereft of coffee... Image

I have no idea... prostate cancer tends to be far more a later-life likelihood for men than cervical cancer is for women. It's also hardly ever mentioned in the media, whereas at least with the latter, caught early, repercussions are relatively slight.

Medical exams tend not to be fun or pleasurable, as people are irrationally nervous about them.

However, stimulation of the prostate is a fun thing.

Well that fact was a GIVEN but there comes a point in people's lives where they WON'T REST until SOMEONE ANSWERS A QUESTION THAT NEEDS AN ANSWER!!!! Image Image

OK I am proably gonna get smoked for this but...

I am in the army and when we go see the docter it is like a cattle house, we all get feed threw a line and asked stuff. I went in for a back ache, got back problems, and when they asked me what was wrong I told em. Well a cute medic took me back to a room and asked me to fill out this paper on what was wrong. Well the docter comes in and says you get a prostate exam just to make sure. I was uh no. It is not fun

I think Sheba is being a little anal about this Image
My mom is going through unplesent exams procedures(chimo and radiolagy), belive me, it's not fun taking any exam in a hospital, and aspecialy ones with a more embarecing nature.

well I am glad I wasn't eating when this topic came about...

proctology eh? never had that happen...i did have to get checked for testicular cancer about 5 months back...fortunately that was negative...and far less painful from what i have heard...(the exam not the cancer...they are both pretty nasty)

hospitals are no loughing matter.
I still make jokes, just no one loughs.
come to think of it, few lough at my non-hospital jokes, and half of those people is me
so who's the other ones?
and an old chines saying goes like this "no need to chop off, it will fall on it's own", ouch!
Glad I've got only one good eye, I see so much less pain and misery.
