Post by Slayer-Fan123 »

Just something I noticed recently with the death of Clarence Clemons, the sax guy from Bruce Springteen and the E Street Band. RIP

Just sayin'...

I like that one of the famous people you include is so famous you don't know his name.

Huh?

'Clarence Clemens, the Sax player from Bruce Springstein and the E Street Band...'

How is that not knowing the guy's name?

Although I have to say I'd never heard of the guy before he died... Which doesn't necesarily mean he wasn't famous.

But I can't think of any other particularly famous people who've died recently?

One of the forgettable guys from Jackass and a film producer who could have been sitting opposite you and wouldn't be recognised.

Other leading lights of the world to have passed in recent weeks include some guy who worked in making films with wrestlers in them and a fat piece of shit who swore on a few records but will be shifting a few £40 hoodies in an alternative shop near you now.

I didn't know Dunn had died when I posted that, and have never heard of the other two until I just wikipedia'd 'em.

So I stand by my statement.

Oops! I misread the post as Clarence Clemens being one guy and "the Sax player..." being another guy. I was thrown by the "lot of famous people" in the title. I recant my snarky comment.

Oh way to go, you killed Columbo. You're not William Shatner by any chance are you?

I'm genuinely sad at the news of Falk's death, a wonderful actor who made a TV show that was in theory very much a one trick pony endlessly entertaining. Though he did have a good innings and has been apparently very ill for the last few years with dementia (to the point he could no longer even remember doing Columbo), it's just a shame the scripted last episode was never made due to the Network suddenly deciding he was too old, something that oddly hadn't bothered them for the previous decade.

I guess I should point myself in the other direction or something.

I take it you're not a Lulu fan?

I especially like how they make sure even the slightest amount of subtlety in the lyrics is removed by having the woman stoking the gun barrel at the end.
