Happy December!

Post by Sades »

Are you sick of the commercial concept of Christmas yet? I can't wait to be home for the holidays. I can't deal with this "no snow" thing. :p

Generating random discussion: So, what's kicking? Tell aboot something that's happened to you in the past 30 days.

I'm helping to put together an art exhibition and I made some new shelves for my toys out of planks and beer bottles. What about your past 30 days?

I turned 30. And thus wrapped up November by watching the Doctor Who story that was filming the day I was born (Earthshock, which explains everything). Other than that I discovered a woman I work with really does have nice legs. This is my exciting life.

And what exactly have the other 11 months done to Sades to not get their own celebratory threads?

They weren't around when I wanted to post something, that's what.

Most of my threads in GD are a result of me thinking "Hm, I wanna post something" when I'm generally too lazy/busy doing other stuff to want to go in-depth on things that would actually make sense, like Transformers. And I like December, because I like decorating and making cookies and buying gifts for peeps.

It's been a good 30 days. Adjusting to the general oddness of being in a country that is similar but different, mainly. I kinda miss home, but not significantly... I'm gonna be home for awhile by the end of the month and I'm looking forward to it.

I'mma put candy canes on the tree now.

I lost an arm in Vietnam too. Bummer too, what are the odds you're going to find another severed arm laying about?

Which one did you have missing? If you've still got the left one, do you fancy coming over for a drink sometime? I'll be easy to spot, I'll be the guy with the meat cleaver, needle and thread.

I think those might belong to Hound and Cliffjumper. Be a gentleman and give them back, please.

They won't want them back after what I've been doing with their hands.

No, no no. You see, Hound was insinuating that he found Cliffy's arm, but then he lost it.

Least, that's how I read it...

My big brown mug has broken, after twenty years of good service. I'm more upset than I would be if some of you died. That's the whole of December ruined.

God, I hope you're Canadian because that would be awesome.

And int he last 30 days? I went to see "The Muppets". And it was the best movie I've seen all year.

Cool, I came back with an extra leg!

I doubt any of the Vietnamese mind if I take home a few bodyparts, they'll be growing spares by the score thanks to Agent Orange.

Wait a second...this isn't a leg!

Shh! DON'T LET THE AMERICANS KNOW.

We just came back from that. It... was weird. There were some bits where I was like "YEAH!" ... and some that kinda seemed a touch like Mary-Sue fanfic. Seriously, Walter is Wesley Crusher. That said, I still enjoyed it... It's Muppets after all. We came home singing the manah-manah song.

That happened to me once. Years ago. But I still miss that damn mug.

Can I be best man?

Or chief bridesmaid.

Or the vicar.

EDIT: Hang on a sec, I see neither of you say what the answer was...

What do you think it was?

It was 42, of course.
