So how does it work when you do an April Fools to people in other time zones where it's already after 1? Does that make you half a fool?

I like Geoge Takei' Star Trek Excelsior: The Movie one, if only for it suggesting he actually has some self awareness.

That one was tricky, what with him always saying that anyway.

His "A young Picard should be my helmsman" suggestion in the serious pitch is actually marginally sillier than the "Willy Ferengi first officer" one in the gag.

I just learned this year that many countries do april fools all day long. It's mostly Britain and the commonwealth that stop at 12.

Because we know that comedy should be short and sharp - Extras, Fawlty Towers, Young Ones, The Proper Office, Darkplace, The Day Today, BrassEye, er... that one on ITV with Martin Freeman working in a DIY store... uhm... Heil Honey I'm Home...

I actually kinda hate April Fools' Day now, because all the twatty websites try to do their own wacky stilted jokes. Nothing can be fun if the Guardian do it; it's a bit like Children in Need always featuring newsreaders doing Queen songs now.

Yes but you hate everything, so your opinion on hating stuff is kind of invalid. ;)

I was surprised to see it turns out that the "Daniel Craig will open the Olympics in character as James Bond after doing a specially filmed mini-movie with the Queen" story was either real or so successful it's still fooling other papers.
