But I don't get it.
Sephiroth is a Final Fantsay 7 character, and the Optimus Prime in the thread title is a nod to the guy who changed his name to Optimus Prime.
Though i think Sephiroth could actually just about pass as a name, being called optimus prime on the other hand.

He's making a reference to the guy who changed his name to Optimus Prime, at least that's what I understand.
Thanks to Mininin for the sig.

Only to a few... And what happens when people ask 'where did you get that name from then?'
Well the kid can just blame his bloody parents, the parents themselves heck i don't know, they could just say its a name they heard and liked, they dont have to elaborate or they could just shorten it to something less conspicuous for everyday use or not even use it at all in day to day use, my grandad doesnt use his real name in public.
Its still a better name than Optimus Prime.

That is quite possibly the most pathetic thing I have ever seen. I mean, I am a Star Wars fan, but I would never bog my kid down with a name like Padme, Obi-Wan or Anakin (Luke, Ben or Han, maybe...but I could get away with those ). I hope this kid is predispositioned to be a bit on the bigger side, because with a name like that, he is gonna need to fight off a few bullies....

I have a black cat named Vivi and that's about as far as I'm willing to go with that type of crap. To name your kid Cloud or Sephiroth or anything else that retarded is just wrong. I hope these people have a lot of money to pay for this child's therapy.
WRESTLING:
In Canada, its a Tradition... in Mexico, its a Religion.... in Japan, its a Sport... in America.... Its a Joke.
Heh. "Pilvi" (translation of "Cloud") is actually an official name here. Does Sephiroth mean anything?Originally posted by Amarant Odinson

I hope the parents will give the child a second and third name so he at least can use those later in his life.
