will transformers heroes be anime?

Post by Angus »

This is neither news nor rumor, just a general question about the upcoming transformers heroes show. As I feel it doesn't fall in the scope of any of the other forums , I hope this is the right place for this.

Will transformers heroes be a japanese or american production?

God, I hope it's not anime again... Rid, Armada, Energon, Cybertron... They all sucked IMO, and enough is enough.

I sure as hell hope it will be something more on the line of Beast Wars, even if it's not CGI.

By the way, does anyone know if it will be CGI or not?

Well, it is an upcoming show, isn't it?

Anyway, so which one was the appropriate forum then?

Last I heard, it would be pseudo-anime.

Ie. American made but imitating anime style.

If true, obviously an incidious decision made by Cobra Commander to submarine the competition.

It could be worse though, it could be farmed out to the South Park people.

Jesus, Hasbro just watched one episode of Pokemon in 1999 and think cartoons ceased there.

There are great cartoons on Cartoon Network everyday that are in a "U.S." style.

Lets look at Fairly Oddparents, a great comedy, for both young and old. How about Invader Zim?

If by "anime style" we mean stock battle scenes and wildy exagerated "hello kitty" Kids then count me out. I already watched Cybertron.
Come on and wind me up.

I even heard it would be Teen Titans style.

That would be the first time I'd disown a TF continuity outright...

By "Anime style" they mean it will be an extremely faithful adaption of the Transformers kiss storyline. Only slightly more disturbing.

If the rumour is true and it is Cartoon Network studios who are producing this, then I suppose we can expect very simple character models and pretty good animation. Also, the voice acting will probably be somewhere in the good to excellent category.

It's a sensible direction to take, I think. Transformers has languished without a clearly identifiable visual style for years.

The CGI of Cybertron and Beast Wars was great looking, I am a little confused as to why they would go back to a cel shade technique.

I imagine it will be a cel shaded look manipulated by CGI like Futurama.
Come on and wind me up.
