Should I play WoW again?

Post by Blaster »

Cataclysm has me thinking about going back, but I leave it to you to make my life easier. Shall I sacrifice my social life in the name of epic lewtz?!

World of Warcraft.

I won't say my girlfriend is actually hooked on it, but it is consuming a lot of her time. Even when she isn't playing, she sometimes thinks and talks about it.

I used to play it, but the monthly fee wasn't worth the joy I got out of it.

Something of an addictive time sink isn't it? I have played it before and become fairly involved, but resent the monthly charge, plus the nature of the game is it's evolving and being inherently crap at most computer games except Sensible World of Soccer I get frustrated at my inability to 'pwn'.

I stopped playing after they raised the cap from level 60, I'm so old school, probably not even the same now.

I'm quite interested by the Star Wars KotOR MMO and even the Warhammer 40k one in the future, but I have so little free time at the moment, my interest usually ends at the "Insert credit card details here.." bit.

Seems about as productive as getting a W tattooed on each buttock.

No I don't have anything constructive to add. Why do you ask?

I will sum this up with one, simple question you need to ask. "Will playing WOW get me laid?" If the answer to that is no, it isn't worth the time.

You have a life, yes? Don't bother with a virtual one...

Unless, of course, you replied 'no' to my question above, in which case...

Don't play WoW any other game would be a better choice than that. Also by not playing Wow and going with any other game you don't run the risk of throwing your social life out the window.
