I played my way through Black Ops this week. Not bad. Not as good as the other modern warfare games, but I guess that's why it's filler rather than a main entry.

I really have to ask this; HeavyArms, why do you need 3 copies of Arkham City? Like, what's the benefit? I get confused these days, as America seems to have different downloadables with every version or preorder or whatnot, but from here in Japan it's hard to keep up. FYI, the Japan PSN is piss poor. Even though my main account is there, I mostly use my UK account for game purchases.

Oh, and Clogs, let me know what you think of X-Men. I read it's not that great, but then I read some reviews that said the same of Ultimate Alliance, and I really like those games.

Batman is awesome. You should all go and buy it right now. If you don't own a system capable of playing it, you should go buy said system, then buy the game. Right now.

A buddy from home sent me a PS3 to compete for space and time with my 360, so I downloaded NBA Jam: On Fire Edition from the PSN. Pretty awesome update to the arcade original! It's got a ton of content, full Road Trip mode and online functionality, all for $15. Pretty nice considering the retail disc version is $40 and doesn't include much more than that (IMO).

Picked up 3D Dot Game Heroes this weekend for the PS3 too. That is one cool game. I've only played about an hour or so, but it's a fun retro-style Legend of Zelda clone (that's not a bad thing at all). And you can create your own character for the game too, out of little blocks. Phenomenal.

I downloaded ThexderNEO for the PS3, which comes with the original Square version from 1985(I think), so you can go with the full symphonic suite of sound and the amazing beauty, or go old school.

And rip your hair out.

I also got Professor Layton and the Last Specter, although I don't plan to start it until I finish Unwound Future.

I got that far with the free demo, so decided against buying the full version. Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes is good fun, if you like puzzle rpgs.

Thexder's always been like that, although NEO's more forgiving than the original. On Easy, at least on the PSP version, I could beat it. Normal..... I can get to the end, but the final boss always gets me.

I'm hoping the PS3 version is longer.

I am loving Forza 4, waiting on Ultimate MVC 3, debating getting WWE 12 the more legends they confirm the more I want it.

Batman. It is awesome.

I played the demo of Forza 4. Racing games don't interest me, but it's a damned good looking game.

Got my hands on CoD - MW3 (one copy for me and one for my buddy since KMart is running a Buy 1 Get 1 50% off sale) for the PS3. Awesome game so far, but I realize how bad I suck at FPS games. I guess not having a current gen system (outside of a Wii - if you even count it as current gen ;)) until last year when I got my 360 will drastically reduce FPS ability.

A friend of mine at work gave me his old copy of Madden 11, which I'll start after I finish 3D Dot Game Heroes. Oh and I borrowed Batman: Arkham City from a different friend at work. Looking forward to it once I get some other games out of my way!

Can't wait for Skyrim (finished the main quest of Oblivion about a month ago), though it'll be a while once finances and my other games are worked out. :)

A friend of mine won some money at the casino, and got me MW3. It's cool, nothing special, or really new.
What I really want is Skyrim. But I'm not spending much money on myself until after xmas.

Bought 'stuff' for the Scraplets' Chrimbo prezzie - PS3 rock band Beatles and one of those endless world tours.

So bored stuck at home with bust arm that I got Angry Birds for the iPad. It's diverting when the only other options are sleep and read... yeah, even I get fed up reading constantly...

While looking for something else on eBay, I found a game that I thought never got a release in the US for the PS2- Robotech: Invasion. Never opened copy.

I'm planning on taking the leap and becoming a PS3 owner with the Black Friday bundles. If I play it on a regular old non-HD TV, are the graphics just not as good, or will it cause me other problems? And any recommendations for decent quality 2nd controllers that aren't crazy expensive?

As soon as I get my 360, this is what I'm going to be getting. Well, eventually.
