Megatron's alt mode in the new Transformers movie

Post by Spiderman » Mon Mar 29, 2004 9:24 pm

According to http://www.tfarchive.org/ Megatron will be a tanking just like the G2 version and ooptimus Prime is going to be a semi truck. Here's the part of the news article that says it.

"Ok here is the scup For The Transformers Live Action Movie there going to use G-2 Megatron but Optimus Prime will be still the Semi Truck.

I'm just gonna assume that this is another one of those rumors floating around out there, and tag it as such.

That's what I was assuming too.

They better be making him transform into a gun and look very similar to G1 Megatron if not exactly like him.

Think about this though. If these movie rumours are true, it would spawn a race of Transformers toys that were the same characters from G1 except built with the quality and technology of today's TF toys. A new Galvatron would be awesome.

I wonder if they're gonna make a 20th Anniversary Megatron. I haven't bought Prime yet but Megatron I'd get in a heartbeat.

Why the f*ck would they bother with a design they could never make a toy of?

I'd happily chuck rocks at it... But it in no way rocks.

Yessss! Tank! With any luck this'll piss all the fanboys off, and we won't have to hear them bitching about it. I'm sure you can still fit the turret-gun up your ass, boys...

'Fraid not... They will bitch about every snippet of information or rumor they'll hear, react to it by claiming they're going to boycott the movie, instead they'll watch it and then again bitch over every detail... :tozey:
Megatron is not a gun! They didn't use Cullen for Optimus! If they did, he sounds 20 years older! The movie is not set in 1984! They didn't use all 86 characters from 1984-1986! The sound effects don't sound exactly like in the cartoon! I WANT MY MONEY BAAAAAAACK!
Looking for a complete Energon Sky Shadow (from Superion Maximus).
Offering: Binaltech Hound, Swindle, Ravage (Corvette), Skids.
Can buy in stores: Robot Heroes Tigatron/Inferno, Ricochet/Predaking.

I was thinking more along the lines of design rather than a Megatron spelling bee contest.;)

Also does green & purple look good on anything besides Batmans villians?

G2 Megatron?

Can we actually discard any rumour which spells "scoop" as "scup" off the bat, btw?

And "there" instead of "they're". Aren't people working on movies generally literate?

Based on what I've seen coming out of Hollywood of late, I'm going to say 'no'.

I was going to say just that.

For this movie to be successful, it has to be at least semi-coherent, and a huge alien robot bent on universal domination turning into a little gun for his subordinate to use would look stupid.
