I never murder anyone! I am a nice guy, really!

It was an accident! Yeah, an accident.

I accidentally ran him over...had to reverse over him to see if he was okay. When I got out of my car to see if he was okay, being a good citizen like I am...this damn knife, it get slipping from my pocket and stabbed him 17 times. That was really annoying. And don't even get me started on my gun going off...

On topic, I have a problem. Once, when I logged in, I could reply and stuff but under 'Serving the community since 1996' Instead of 'Logged in as dude851884 you have 15 messages 0 unread' There was still 'Log in and Register'. What's up with that??

No. That's not the problem as I receive PM's just fine, my concern is older messages. In the "logged in as" caption it states I have "5 messages stored". I'm unable to check them let alone delete these messages. Its no big deal, I was just wondering what was wrong.

Did you change your email address? The board was waiting for you to respond to an email reactivating your account -- unfortunately these can often get caught by spam filters, or take a while to come through.

Have you looked in your Sent folder? It's the total number of messages in all folders, not just in your Inbox.

The reason I ask about ignore lists is because if someone's on yours, the counter will still register any messages from them but the messages willl be hidden in the Inbox display. The counter at the top doesn't actually use board code, it pulls data directly from the database tables.

Just a timeout, then -- the site attracts a lot of traffic, especially when America's awake. You could try either hitting the 'back' button or whacking F5, but I don't think Internet Explorer automatically resends / prompts to resend form information.

If you've got the option, Firefox -- http://www.mozilla.com/ -- is a hell of a lot safer than Internet Explorer in general, not just useful in situations like that.
