Frank Welker and Peter Cullen Interview (2007 Transformer Game)

Post by ColdBain » Thu Apr 19, 2007 2:44 am

I found this on youtube, not sure if it's old news or not.

Hopefully the choice of these two is representative of who is acting on the film!

Wonder how many of the voice actors signed on to do both the movie and the game.

I've read in many places that Huge Weaving is the voice for Megatron in the movie, which is very odd considering that Welker is doing the voice for the game. But at the same time I also read that the producers aren't revealing who Megatron is being voiced by!

It's all very confusing.

I've also read that Megatron's dialogue in the film seems to be leaning towards the Beast Wars Megatron character. Which is fine by me. However, visually, he would suit a more psychopathic voice, considering his chomper of a mouth.

Looking at the Megatron images, I would have thought Welker's Megatron voice would be an absolute shoe-in! The 'metaphorically evil' doesn't seem to match what this Movie Megatron looks like.

In the "news" section. With a name like "transformersmovie.com", it has to be good.

Not that odd, Welker is cheaper than Weaving and more in the games budget (they'd probably still have got Cullen even if George Clooney was doing MoviePrime).

I like the revealtion in the video that welkers highly detailed motivation for his character is to make Cullen laugh. Explains everything.

 funny little clip. I'd like to see more of that kind of off the cuff interaction between voice talent behind the scenes. Heres to hoping for a DVD featurette or something.

I wonder if Cullen has any idea about his accent?
