LEGO Creator 31124 super Robot - Remember Mazinger Z? Someone at LEGO does. It's not a super close likeness, certainly not enough to require a license. But, it was close enough that I looked up Mazinger online to see how close it was. It's got the right colors (black, red, blue, grey) in roughly the right locations, and big red wings. He's Mazinger's non-union Mexican equivalent.

Like most recent Creator sets, I have no interest in the other 2 builds, a dragon and a jet. The bot's got ball jointed hips, ankles, shoulders, elbows, and head. The wings and shoulders are hinged. US$10 for 159 pieces is a better than average price.

LEGO Star Wars 75299 Trouble on Tatooine - My mom mentioned to her new coworker, who I've never met, that I like LEGO and said coworker gave my mom this to give to me. It's a 276 pieces licenced set, so I hope she got it on sale. I don't care about Star Wars, having never seen the films, shows, or Christmas special, so I'll just end up using the pieces for my own stuff.

There's 3 small builds: a hover bike, a hut that unfolds, and a cannon that looks like a dragonfly. The dragonfly is kind of neat, so I may keep that around. The hut has lots of hinges. The hover bike has some small pieces with studs on the sides that I have few if any of.

The Mandalorian minifig looks pretty cool, with a different cape shape than my other minifigs. There's a baby Yoda which is fine. The Tusken Raider, with his single row of teeth looks like a bug-eyed, slack-jawed doofus with an overbite. Like if Cletus from the Simpsons was an alien.
