Outside the Hospital:

Thundercracker: -feeling his body creak as he throws himself into a 160 degree turn, all the while dodging and weaving the best he can to avoid most of the debris coming towards him, transforms to robot mode, smoke trailing from his right 'boot', aiming his arm cannons at Razortail- "Shooting him doesn't seem to be slowing him down much!" -opens fire with his arm cannons-

Outside the Hospital

Steelclash vaulted to the side, narrowly avoiding a messy death at Clench's hands. He landed awkwardly, though, and because of the pain that now radiated from his knee he doubted he'd be able to manage another such feat. He fired off his last two missiles from his intact hip launcher,

"Die!"

Razortail used one of his shovel-claws to block Thundercracker's incoming fire, bullets pinging off of the thick metal as the massive scorpion tried to reposition himself so that he could bring the full brunt of his firepower to bear on the seeker.

"Shoot 'im some more, then!" Ramjet scoffed at Thundercracker. "Didn't Megs teach ya anything?"

The conehead swooped around, then started firing his lasers down at the giant enemy. The ones that hit left little more than shallow burns in his skin, but Ramjet didn't stop firing.

Outside the Hospital:

Thundercracker: -dodging and weaving, panels on his chest popping open and two cluster bomb rockets join the fire from his arm cannons- "Oh, Megatron taught me lots over the yearsRamjet. Fear. Intimidation. Mad schemes for galactic domination. The usual."

Outside Veterans' Hospital

Seeing Steelclash still alive, Galestorm walked calmly towards where Clench is engaging the helicopter, and opened fire with his machineguns.

Clench jumped in the air as Steelclash's missiles hit the ground below him, launching him into an erratic spin. He managed to turn just before hitting the ground, his left side taking the brunt of the fall back to ground. He staggered back to his feet, Hightower's cannon no longer in his hands, lost somewhere in the unexpected flight. Clench pulled his blasters out from their storage compartments and charged Steelclash, firing as he went, bloodlust on his face.

Outside the Hospital

Steelclash twisted painfully away from Galestorm's fire only to be blasted by Clench instead. His machine gun dropped to the ground in one direction and he fell in the other.

Razortail managed to shoot down both of Thundercracker's cluster bombs before they'd split into their sub-munitions, but one slammed into the ground only a few feet in front of him. He swung a claw around, trying to bury it with a mountain of debris...but he was too late. The ordnance exploded, tossing the massive Decepticon up into the air.

"Well ya ain't learned jack," Ramjet told Thundercracker, "or you'd know that when you've got an advantage, ya press it!"

With that, the conehead kicked both banks of engines to full and rammed head-on into the tumbling scorpion. He expected to drive right into the other Decepticon's centre of mass like an arrow, but Razortail's tail flicked out at the last second to knock him off-course. He did, however, tear off the tip of the scorpion's tail -- and two of his plasma cannons -- in the process.

That wasn't an especially big comfort to the conehead three seconds later, though, when he slammed into the ground.

Outside the Hospital:

Thundercracker: -tracking the spinning Razortail, firing a couple more cluster bomb rockets and keeping up the arm cannon barrage at the flying scorpion- "That's a perfect example of why we need to think more. What just happened to you is what always happens when we press the advantage."

"He dead yet?" Galestorm called out to Clench, unable to see Steelclash from where he was standing.

(OOC: Warcry, correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm taking it as Steelclash bought it on the last post. If I'm wrong, I'll edit my post accordingly)

Clench watched as Steelclash turned into his shots, getting hit repeatedly, and then saw the other bot fall to the ground. The rage that had taken over him was beginning to abate, although it took some effort, and he heard Galestorm ask if Steelclash was finished. "He's out of the fight. Let's make our way back to Soundwave and the others."

Outside the Hospital

(OOC: Not quite dead yet. :) )

Although he was battered and broken, Steelclash wasn't ready to give up the fight just yet. Unable to walk or even stand, he lunged along the ground toward Clench with violence on his mind.

Ramjet transformed to robot mode and pushed himself out of the trench he'd carved in the ground, covered in dings and paint scratches. "At least I ain't pussyfooting around, Thunders. Thinkin' while you're gettin' shot at is a fast way ta get slagged!"

Without any further thought, he ignited his thrusters and threw himself at Razortail.

Razortail hit the ground nearby, his armour now covered in dents and burns from Thundercracker's constant fire but not yet breached. The giant scorpion transformed to robot mode just in time to get a face-full of Ramjet, who started raining mostly-ineffectual blows down on the larger Transformer's head.

"Stop that," Razortail said, annoyed.

Veterans' Hospital

After a slight pause to consider what Megatron had said, Downdraft offered Vindicator a conciliatory smile, but it was bleak. "We know where the morgue is," he said. "Only too well..."

"I'll take you, sir," Zenith offered. For good measure, he saluted; perhaps that would mollify these touchy younger units?

~~~
Stormfire, observing that the newsbots were all safe, waited for the situation to calm down. He would do whatever Vindicator asked of him.
~~~

Caught in the act of nonchalantly exiting, Retro could only tell Blackjack that he was going to organise some specialised equipment to be brought to the foyer in order to treat the many wounded.

He was honestly going to make good his words, but was startled to then be accosted by Soundwave. In truth, he would not have recognised the blue mech except for his speech pattern, which had been broadcast even into the Hospital at certain times in the past.

"Overkill? Overkill?"

The name meant nothing...

There were other mechs calling for a doctor, too, distracting him.

~~~
"My Lord Megatron," Relay said earnestly. "I know this is an imposition, but I would like to include a segment on what happened here along with my other recordings, which are ready to be sent out to the CBC at Iacon.
"I should also like permission to interview one or two of your loyal followers?"
~~~

Transcan looked at the view and 'heaved' a sigh of relief. "Now, 'Mission - we just gotta go back to Iacon. I mean: we've had too much ammunition for company since we left home base."

-------------------------------------------------------------------
Silvercircuitmaster Station

He could not put a foot into the small open area!

Buildzer tried and tried again, until Plaist said, "I couldn't do it, either. Tried, I did. Tried lots of times. Thought I had me a glitch, ran a diagnostic, but... there you go."

"There's nothing there," Buildzer complained. "Nothing."

"So we finish the job and get out." Plaist turned away to complete the last part of fixing the wall. "I'd say nothing, if I was you, Buildzer."

And that is what happened. Buildzer took his fee and said nothing.

Commuters continued to use the walkway, but none of them entered that small area near the wall. If any of them was aware of this, they said nothing, either.

------------------------------------------------------------------
Train tunnels

Eventually, he knew he would be able to get out and, after that?

Having deliberately hung back to let the two workmechs carry on their own way, Solder continued to follow the main tunnel. The Energon pump he held tight, a lucky charm and comfort, for a vague doubt had been nagging him since Corvus' termination and it was this that kept him going.

When he found him, Corvus might need repairs...

Veterans' Hospital

Megatron grunted, mollified by the Triplechangers' cooperation, and walked away.

When Relay asked his question, he favoured the smaller Transformer with a smile. "When I said you and your comrades could report on what was going on in Kaon, I meant it. You already have my permission to talk to anyone you want. I have to request, though, that you wait until we've finished tending to our wounded."

Soundwave's optics narrowed, but glowed a brighter yellow as he leaned in toward Retro.

"Overkill," he repeated impatiently. "A small blue and white saurian cassette who was placed under your care. For your sake, I would hope he's been tended to properly and is enroute to a full recovery."

Outside Veterans' Hospital

"Right." Galestorm answered Clench, and began to turn back towards where Hightower was repairing Heatstroke when Steelclash abruptly moved. "Look out!" The Seeker called out.

Blackjack sighed as Retro answered Soundwave and his questions blearily. -Senile fool...- Blackjack thought, optics narrowing. "Yes, Overkill. The damaged cassette he-" Blackjack thumbed Stormfire with one hand, "-put in your care alongside that impetuous Ransack when we arrived here."

Blackjack shook his head. Why do they even keep this old coot alive, anyway? So far he had been useless.

The Micromaster was barely aware of the conversations between Megatron and the news reporters, and the tension between Downdraft's group and Vindicator. The former, he approved of. Propaganda veiled and delivered through Autobot civilian eyewitnesses. What better way was there to discredit Gigatron's good relations with the Autobots? And the beauty was that they weren't even trying to spread the propaganda that way.

And as for Vindicator and the triple-changers? Blackjack didn't really care if they came to blows. Less competitors for him, if it ever comes to that.

Veteran’s Hospital

Vindicator stared back at the triple changers giving a nod satisfied that they had made the right decision in accepting his command.

“I appreciate the help; we’ll head down to the morgue in a moment.” He replied to Zenith before walking over to meet up with Stormfire.

Stormfire, it’s good to see that you made it through the last battle in one piece, Did Galestorm and Zephyr make it through the battle as well?” Vindicator asked the seeker.

Clench turned at Galestorm's warning. "Stupid slagger refuses to die!" Clench yelled, transforming to his truck mode and putting as much speed on as he could, intent on crushing Steelclash beneath the weight of his frame.

Outside the Hospital

Steelclash made a panicked noise and tried to throw himself out of the way of Clench's charge. But his body was too broken and his reflexes weren't fast enough. He only made it a few feet before he was crushed into the ground. When Clench drove off of him he didn't get back up, and this time he wasn't playing possum.

Outside Veterans' Hospital

Galestorm stumbled towards where Clench had run over Steelclash, crouching down to check on the Gigatron loyalist. "He's dead, um... sir." The Seeker told Clench, when he realized that he was talking to a (presumably) senior officer.

Thundercracker: -sighing as he watches Ramjet thwacking away at Razortail's head, swinging around behind them- "It's a lot easier to cripple them first, Ramjet." -firing his arm cannons and cluster rockets at the backs of Razortail's knees-

"Finally." Clench said while transforming, walking back towards Steelclash's now motionless body. "Persistent bugger." Clench said, "Too bad his loyalties were in the wrong place. Could use more like him."

Clench stopped, realization setting in on what Galestorm had called - 'sir'. It had been a long time since anyone had addressed him with the proper respect due his power - ever since Megatron had almsot destroyed him in the arena, back before the war. "Come." Clench said to Galestorm. "Let's go help the seekers with their foe."

"I'm a Seeker too..." Galestorm muttered, but followed Clench, anyway, more because of the fact that he wanted payback against Razortail than anything.
