Getting more and more galleries up.

Put a whole section up for Briefing/Reference binders, which will eventually house more than just TF briefing material when the chance arises.
Index page: https://sunbowmarvelarchive.blogspot.co ... eries.html
Ron Friedman's Briefing Binder - 1984 Product (with Bob Budiansky's earliest typed bios): https://sunbowmarvelarchive.blogspot.co ... oduct.html
Show Bible: https://sunbowmarvelarchive.blogspot.co ... llery.html
Ron Friedman's Briefing Binder - 1985 Product: https://sunbowmarvelarchive.blogspot.co ... -page.html
New Product Addendum (Season 2 cast additions): https://sunbowmarvelarchive.blogspot.co ... endum.html

All of the previous Hasbro Toyfair catalogues are now in gallery form, organised by year: https://sunbowmarvelarchive.blogspot.co ... ogues.html

And finally, after keeping my own private copy for about six months, I saw some people were making youtube vids from parts of it. Peter Chung's early TFTM storyboards: https://sunbowmarvelarchive.blogspot.co ... movie.html

As an appropriate way to close out a bumper year of G1 cartoon production material being uncovered and brought to the public. The Sunbow Marvel Archive is now able to add one more full storyboard set before 2022 comes to an end.

David Wise' debut episode - Attack Of The Autobots - now joins S.O.S Dinobots, Heavy Metal War, City Of Steel, Atlantis Arise!, Sea Change and Cosmic Rust as the seventh storyboard set available online.

Drawn by six artists, including Peter "Aeon Flux" Chung, this set appears to be working off the first draft script instead of the finalised one. As the majority of dialogue is completely different to what was broadcast. Also, Act II includes a vastly different look and approach to the episode's central plot device: the recharging chamber

To view Attack Of The Autobots directly, head to the dedicated gallery page: The Sunbow Marvel Archive: The Transformers MP 700-19 Attack Of The Autobots full storyboard

Nifty. As always there are some panels that are more evocative than the animation.

The Sunbow Marvel Archive kicks off 2023 with a bang, as The Killing Jar joins Five Faces Of Darkness, Fight Or Flee and The Return Of Optimus Prime as the 9th season 3 script of the G1 cartoon.

This particular copy of the script was originally brought to the dialogue session for this episode by Michael Charles Hill, acting in his role as producer, with numerous handwritten additions. It was contributed to the Archive by Ryan King who bought it from an ebay seller who had acquired a box of TF scripts from Wally Burr's estate (in case you're wondering, the rest of the box had numerous copies of FFOD scripts in it).

Also included with the script by Michael Charles Hill are two pages of reference artwork for the Quintesson ship featured in this episode. The design was taken from Chris Foss' artbook 21st Century. Originally conceived for Alejandro Jodorowsky's ill-fated mid-70s attempt at a Dune movie, Foss would then attempt to re-use the design as an early concept piece for the Leviathan (later the Nostromo) in Alien.

The script, along with all the other season 3 material, can be found at: https://sunbowmarvelarchive.blogspot.co ... -1987.html

With thanks to Sharon "Tut" LaBorde and tfwiki mod Monzo, the Sunbow Marvel Archive now plays host to 108 voice actor audition sheets from all four years of the G1 cartoon. With thorough notes from voice director Wally Burr, it is perhaps not an exaggeration to say that some of the characters present have more dialogue on a single sheet of paper than they do in the entire show

To view them all in gallery format, head to: https://sunbowmarvelarchive.blogspot.co ... ition.html

The Sunbow Marvel Archive now hosts it's eighth full episode storyboard set from the G1 cartoon: Aerial Assault.

With this set in place, the Archive now hosts the full story on all 12 episodes written by Doug Booth, whether via script or storyboard.

With plenty of deleted scenes covering Skydive and Slingshot's journey across the desert, early Combaticon designs (and some plain made-up designs), along with some gorgeous Keith Tucker art, the storyboards can be found in gallery form at: The Sunbow Marvel Archive: The Transformers MP 700-57 Aerial Assault full storyboard

Or in PDF format at the main Season 1 and 2 page: The Sunbow Marvel Archive: MP 700 The Transformers, Part 1 1984 - 1985 (Sunbow Productions/Marvel Productions)

Added to the Sunbow Marvel Archive recently is a plethora of G1 cartoon material, with storyboards from the following:

Unproduced pilot miniseries/Season 1 intro sequence
More Than Meets The Eye, Part 2
More Than Meets The Eye, Part 3
Transport To Oblivion
Roll For It
The Ultimate Doom, Part 3
Countdown To Extinction
Unproduced Season 2 intro sequence
Unproduced commercial bumper
Autobot Spike
The Immobilizer
Additionally, a quartet of story premises, written by storyboard artist Wendell Washer during early Season 2, have also become available. Along with the early version of the 1985 New Product briefing he was given for reference. Three of the unused stories focus on Omega Supreme (then under the working name of Fortress Maximus), and a fourth focusing on Seaspray.

All of these can be viewed at https://sunbowmarvelarchive.blogspot.co ... -1985.html

Related content - James Eatock just added a voice recording session for Transport to Oblivion Part 1 with accompanying visuals. Worth checking out his cerealgeek channel for lots of other 80s stuff too.

That was really interesting to watch. Young me would have been totally stunned that Spike and Shockwave are voiced by the same actor. And Wally Burr runs a tight ship!
