It's a good thing I like Bruticus, because I'm actually going to end up getting a 3rd one, it looks like. Nice paint job...

I'm glad they're not sold seperately like in RiD. Hopefully he'll have the same Price tag as Megatron and Jetfire.

So much for the "no repaints from previous lines." You know, I like repaints, so I'm glad they lied this time.

i like some repaints, but enough is enough after a while.

the packaging looks like armada packaging but it doesn't say armada on it, only rid, is this thing supposed to be armada or a last-minute rid repaint?

I like it... I think I might be buying the Combaticons for a third time, myself....

Damn, these guys have good agents... I mean, Bruticus debuts in 1986. In 1991/92 he's back as a classic, as well as an incognito appearance in Japan as Battle Gaea. then in, what, 94, it's another fresh set of clothes for Generation 2. In 99 he's back again, masquerading as Baldigus, and later as Ruination. Then, the rest of them take Brawl's idea, and we get Ruination 2... It's possible to have 6 different MIB/MOSC of each figure [Original, Classic, G2, Car Robots, RiD, RiD Numbered] and up to 4 gitfsets [Original, Battle Gaea, Car Robots, Armada]... Anone got the whole set? Imagine, you could have 4 or 5 of these guys combined on your shelf... By my maths, he's never been off the official market for more than 5/6 years since 1986...

" I see a line of cars
and they're all painted black"

Seriuously though this set does look pretty sharp. They would be better with some black feet. Maybe the feet from a knock off Defensor?

Something I don't get... if this is Armada, why does the box have RiD logos on it?

Either this is a fake... or Hasbro has gotten so lazy to the point that they not only have recycled Bruticus yet again, but they even recycled the "Transformers: Robots in Disguise" emblem...

Its got to be fake..... look its got Armada packaging with RID logo.... branding is a must in your product.... to Hasbro it would do harm to the Aramda line to release something labled as RID due to fear of confusing the customer.....

Then it doesnt follow the mini-con theme at all

Then look at the box its a lil beat up as if someone has ruffed it up a lil in order to make it work in order to fool people

The term for the packaging is "a mock-up"

It's to give the general impression, but isn't the final design. Standard practise. It's like the whole "colours may vary" thing that you see in catalogues.

Well, I like the black and gray colours myself, except for the purple feet. Purple looks good, but only in smaller doses imo.
If he comes out, with any luck it'll be in the set. I'd rather buy them all in one shot- even with multiples of him on my shelves.

Well, I can remember when the Combaticons first came out, everyone wanted it. I mean everyone!

Bruticus probably was one of the more popular gestaults IMO.

I am suprised they did not just call it Bruticus though, instead of Ruination.
