i just finished reading xmen inferno

man, am i angry and in tears.
though the story was not bad, i hate the charactor assasination of madeline pryor.

how does she become so evil. THEY TURNED HER INTO EVIL INCARNATE.
usuallly in stories, the person is brainwashed by some demon, and blah, blah breaks out of the spell.
but she was evil, wanting to kill her son.
and she apparently ditched her son, to escape from the mauraders.
can someone help me clear this up?
ever since i read the dark phoenix saga last week, i've been dying to get the whole phoenix, madeline story.
i've spent a good 500 dollors on trade paperbacks nad back issues to get the whole story.
and i'm steamed, i mean did they hv to make her so evil, could'nt a simple divorce work. sure she was a clone, but damm i liked the character in the beg, and they turn her into a demon.
ok i'm ranting now. so how did she or which particular issue did she becoem so evil
i've got the dark phoenix saga issues, cost me an arm and leg(should hv bought the paperback)
mutant massacre, rising from the ashes, inferno, phoenix arising, xtinction agenda
now what other issues do i need to fill in the whole story.
and why do all the essential reprints hv to be in black and white
sure u get to read all the stories, but not in color. BAH

eh, I think adding a dark side can be good... we all have our nastier sides, hers was awakened by N'sith (or whatever). Sinister didn't help matters either.

It wasn't just Maddy that got evil though... *points at Longshot and Dazzler*

The reason why they made Madelyne so evil, was because they wanted to justife Scott leaving her. The high and mighty Cyclops couldn't have dumped an ordinary innocent woman, no. She had to be evil.

Depends. The British monthly reprint comic is in colour; but the "Essential" American TPBs are in b&w. Which is the reason I don't own any.

X-men from 201 to inferno (139) all slowly cover Madalyne Pryor story.

The instant Scott leaves hereMr Sinister has her marked for death because he cant have people finding out about his cloneing shanginans.The mauderers go to kill her but only get baby Nate she esacpes 'amazing' and survives as is put in hospital. By the early 220's the X-men come to save her when the mauderers come to finish the job and naturally shes bitter that Scott not only left her, got with Jean but left her to die.She joins with the X-men to increse her sense of worth.Also she gets close the Havok as Lorna Dame is posessed aparently inseperablt to mallace and goes bad big time so they sorta feel each other pain. In fall of the mutants Maddie 'dies' with the X-men and is resurected but demons from inferno after trick her in a dream to become the goblin queen and under the infulence and total bitterness she has towards Scott Summers she inferno persona surfaces.

As it goes it seasm everyone who read the Maddie story in X-men feels the same as you dude and hated Cyclops for a good long while-Me included.

The inferno saga was pretty good...you really should read the Phoenix Saga, or the Dark Phoenix Saga...

That is avail. in trad paperback and I know it is like issue 100something for 12 issues with the death of...

it was'nt al about sumers ditching madie that pissed me off, its more about how they madfe her soem evil entity.
they could hv shown her hating jean and all, cause she's aclone and dying heroically to save scott or her son.
i would hhv preferred them showing dying by rebelling agaginst sainsister to dsave her child, rather then she become this lame goblin queen.

Uh-huh. And flciking thru the things, they felt like the kinda thing that'd go smudgy... Don't think I'm outright against B7w in comics, but if you read the mid-late 70s X-Men stuff, it's big on colour, and simply taking the colour from a colour strip never looks too good... Might as well buy the Movie colouring book
