Since there's a nice big pic with a serial number on it, d'you think someone at Hasbro might actually be able to do something about these things now?

They did the same with the unpainted Prowls before. :)

And yes, I sincerely hope that these tracking numbers, what I expect them to be, help them to track down the leak(s). :)

If they really are leaks. I'm starting to think they're doing it to generate hype about up-and-coming products. Afterall, the whole Armada Overload situation got people talking about the mold. If it is unauthorized, they should give the guy a medal, since he's probably helped sales.

I've set up a long explaination about the situation behind these things before... Point is, people who try to sell the rights to the first PICTURES of a painted Slt Windcharger test shot most probably do not act with Hasbro's permission.

According to Ben Yee, Hasbro DIRECTLY confirmed to him that anything that has "NOT FOR SALE" written on it and is still being sold on eBay is STOLEN and NOT MEANT FOR SALE.

I've been thinking something similar for a long time

we get used to a mold by seeing a lot before release, so if its an ugly mold, we'll probably find it better looking when it's finally released
but the opposite can happen as well, we may like to proto at first sight but after time find out that the figure isnt that great after all

and if HasTak really wanted to stop those testshots popping on ebay, they would have hired security agents that control the factory workers when they leave the factory

Yes, but what they do and what they say could be completely different things.

The fact that they don't endorse it just adds to the hype because this is something that "the man" doesn't want you to see. Ooh mysterious . . .

eck! worst alt so far. i may get the blue version. The chest is too big, the arms are too skinny and whimpy, and it looks like a tree trunk has better articularion than the legs. they really should have just retooled an impreza, since they are "brothers" and all, at least then the transformation would be right and we wouldn't have a big version of spy changer prowl. well, at least for being a tough cop bot he comes with a nice arsenal...oh wait its just a big red glow stick. maybe he should ask decepticharge to borrow his scanner so at least he can tell deadend is speeding. HAHAHA!

sorry, i got a little caried away, maybe seeing more of the alt as people get him will change my opinion, but right now i'm just diggin' him...action poses might help instead of just off the traditional just off the assembly line pose.

Well, he's also been shown with a gun in earlier versions. He looks a little better than he did before, but he's still a little too flat. Works for spychangers and trhe original sideswipe, but not alternators.

UH-OH!

I noticed that none of the pics of the painted Prowl test shots seemed to depict a gun, and I asked JOJO about it.

Here's his response:

This time's test shot have no gun.

But he's got a baton. Just imagine the fun!

The legs don't look as if they suit Prowl but still a nice Alt.

At least he'll still have a nightstick and not an engine that looks like it's missing something. Besides, I'm sure some third party will make us replacement parts just like they have for Windcharger.
