has anyone been able to get this working under win XP? I bought a copy of it for $2 from the local pawnbrokers, but like a lot of things from that era, it doesn't recognise XP as being a windows-based O/S.... I know the game's not that great, but hey - it's transformers & it's on the pc

If it wont run in Xp change the Compatability settings.. Find the shortcut right-click select properties then the compatability tab..
Nope...tried that (I just couldn't think of the tab's name off the top of my head), as well as installing the update for it.... I guess I'll have to get around to setting up a win98 box at home - besides, I've a feeling it'll end up being one of those games that as an absolute coronary & refuse to run because I've got 1gb of ram & a Radeon 9600 pro (damn those old resource hogging games!) :P
speccy's? ewwwww....C-64's forever

Lordy!!!!!!!!
I am sitting here beside myself [/Ben from Short Curcuit]
There were TWO Transformers games on the Commodore 64?!?!?!?!
I thought it was Speccy only! Oh lord if only the internet was available in the 80's. Everything would have been so much easier.
And look what I founf after a quick search... its called the UK Retro Online Store, and if you scroll down you can still buy the Transformers game for the 64!
Just looking at this site was like an acid flashback. God all those game covers I now remember again. I even remember the blister packs and 3x packs games. This is amazing. I had the same rush when I first started posting on the Archive.
And apparently there's a company called Tulip Computers who are going to re-release the Commodore 64 to cash in on the whole nostalgia trip!
I'm checking out the amiga games now, even though my old amiga has bit the dust.
