So, how many?

a. A drawing by an artist named Jimmy Cauty (hanging over my dresser)
b. A Black Rider (hanging over my fireplace)
c. A poster of Viggo Mortensen as Strider over one of my beds
d. The Fellowship of the Ring (hanging over my other bed)
e. The Two owere poster of Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli
f. FOTR movie poster (from Walmart)
g. Two Towers movie poster

Let's see. I have the following:

A Simpsons cast poster
An Atomic Kitten poster (no, I don't like their music).
A Take Me To Your Dealer poster (y'know, the translucent alien smoking a joint).
A poster of Tweety Pie in a boxing ring having just laid out Sylvester.
A funny roadsign one.
A 'Life Is Full of Dificult Decisions' one, which has about a zilion different bottled beers on it.

I also have a few stuff that I've printed off. A few pictures of the family skiing, and a drawing of one of my roleplaying characters that a friend did for me.

I collect movie posters and art prints, so I have quite a few up in all rooms of the house...
  • The Empire Strikes Back original theatrical poster (the "Gone With the Wind" style one) -- this is the crown jewel of my collection.
  • Fight Club original double-sided theatrical poster
  • Out of Sight british quad poster (with the DVD artwork) and the US original pre-release poster (the cool retro-looking one)
  • Pulp Fiction theatrical poster reproduction
  • Mallrats theatrical poster
  • The X-Files movie US release poster and 3 teaser posters
  • Vertigo 1987 re-release poster
  • Really old lobby card for The Gaucho -- cool-looking, though I've never seen the movie. :glance:
  • Kandinsky Landscape with Factory Chimney print
  • Monet Poppies and Vetheuil Sur Seine prints
  • Severini Red Cross Train Passing a Village print
  • Van Gogh Poppies print
  • 4 Coolidge "Dogs playing poker" prints -- got these for Christmas and they rule. ;)
  • 3 prints of art projects I made in college
I do all of my own framing. It's a hell of a lot cheaper, though matting is a pain in the ass. Even a poster made to look really cheap (like Pulp Fiction's) looks super-classy when you get it under glass and in a frame. I have quite a few other posters, but ran out of walls to put them on. Once I get a bigger house, I'll have to get my Return of the Jedi poster up. The original artwork is almost as cool as the one for ESB -- shame the movie wasn't nearly as good...

Anyone else see how this thread could've gone in a "Well, I've got Claypool chained to the wall in the basement of the Archive Building..." type of thread? Is it too late?

I'd thought of that too but when I saw Ozz hinting at it I thought it'd be pointless to try. :)

I don't have any posters up where I'm living now, just a "Construction Girls" calendar I was given by an old friend at Xmas time, and a Glass painted Ninja pic that ~*SD*~ and her Mum made for me one Christmas along with a pic of the Queen that my G.Parents have always had hung here too.
And I had to take my St. George's Cross Flag down due to the walls leaking and I didn't want it ruined. :(

Down in my room at my folks place, I still have 4 wall hangings/posters though.
A)1 Big poster of Jedi versus Sith with Darth Maul and Qui Gon Gin on it
B)a coloured pencil sketched mini poster of Solid Snake versus the Ninja from a magazine
C)a small FF7 Cloud on Chocobo poster my friend in korea sent me
D)a Sho Kosugi Ninja Poster on my bedroom door there.

Those would be cool to have! Especially the Wildstorm one!
I was looking around on Ebay and saw some Alexander Ross posters I'd like to get someday, especially the Dr. Fate one he did up. Way cool. :)
