I want an Overlord toy...
I did at least read Reflector's review on here. But... well, I want one. Dammit
Each to their own...
I did own one since I was a child, but sold it 6 years ago. The thing is a brick (and not even a particularly good one by G1 standards), and I always thought more-than-a-bit over-rated.
I love the overall design though, and would welcome a good Classics-style update of the guy.

New sale thread added with a range of Transformers including Masterpiece, Botcon, CHUG, RID, Movies etc.
Looking for MP-11T Thundercracker and MP-9 Rodimus v2 (Takara version with as few QC issues as possible).
Check out my new sale thread now!
Also items on eBay.
I got an incomplete one for a reasonable price a couple of years ago and I don't regret it. I'm not one to get hung up on accessories, so I was happy to get the makings of a coherent bot for less than the Ebay premium. His is a very nice bot to display and is good and solid. He is quite a brick, but he's not alone in this crime, at least he can reach past his chest unlike PM Prime and Metroplex. By modern standards he could have a lot more articulation, but I feel he's superior to a lot of the large bots that appeared during that era.
Just beware stupid prices.
I love the design and it would be awesome to see a modern update and not just an ill fitting Botcon repaint.

If you want to properly recreate Wreckers it should be the European '91 version.

Funny thing; read this thing in the morning, visited an ailing friend this evening, talked with some random strangers, watched a voltron opening, I commented about Peter Cullen being the voice...and next thing you know the guy next to me remembers and still has his G1 Overlord, hah!
Few stuff in the UK to trade/sell. Measly sales thread.

I once owned Overlord. The Masterforce version. He was a good 'Citybot' overall. Neat in that he split into two distinct alt modes that gave great play value. The base mode was alright, but as it doesn't clip together is too fragile to be much fun. Robot mode was decent and only really needed to have better feet to be improved. As an adult, you might be a bit nonplussed by him, but he's easily as good as Scorponok (tiny head) or Metroplex (tiny arms). Shame he's silly money really.

I got a Masterforce version and he's a pretty badass 80s Transformers toy.
